Santa's Kingdom

Santa's Kingdom Commercial 2001/2

Some images from the Rocket Animation TV commercial for the Santa's Kingdom franchise. Variations of the commercial were screened over several winter seasons on RTE, Network 2, TV3, Sky 0ne, Sky News and GMTV.

A second round of commercials for the Santa's Kingdom franchise aired on RTE, Network 2, TV3, Sky 0ne, Sky News and E4 during November 2002.

Rocket Animation created much of the event's merchandise, designing the plush toy characters and the Santa's Kingdom book which was designed and produced by Caroline Dunn and illustrated by Bronagh O'Hanlon and Owen Fitzpatrick.

THE ANGELIC ORGAN

 

 

The Angelic Organ (2000). Based on a true story, this is a charming tale of eccentricity and invention. An 11 x minute Rocket production in association with The Irish Film Board, RTÉ and The Arts Council.

Written and directed by Caroline Dunn.

The Angelic Organ screened at The 15th Leeds International Film Festival 2001 and The 13th International Welsh Film Festival 2001, Cardiff, Wales (November 22nd to 29th 2001).

The Angelic Organ also screend at Animation (New Irish Animation and Frameworks screenings).

MIKEY'S SPORTING MADNESS!

 

Mikey’s Sporting Madness! (1999). 35 x 40 second episodes produced by Rocket Animation for RTÉ’s popular sports magazine programme, Rapid. Mikey’s Sporting Madness! has also been screened on eveo.com.

Written and directed by Owen Fitzpatrick.

A selection of Mikey's Sporting Madness! episodes were screened in October 2000 at The 5th Manchester International Short Film and Video Festival (2000).

When ex-cons, Mickey Scragger and his brothers, Flynn and Cheech, set out to make an honest buck for themselves by running an exotic New York Tiki-style cocktail bar, help arrives in an even more exotic form!

'STARS ON SUNDAY' COMMERCIAL

 

The 'STARS ON SUNDAY' commercial, directed by Owen Fitzpatrick and produced by Caroline Dunn, was originally broadcast on Sky, ITV, Channel 4, RTE 1, Network 2 and TV 3 between Monday 11th March 2002 and Sunday 17th March 2002.

Rocket Animation's twenty second commercial for 'STARS ON SUNDAY', Ireland's first full colour celebrity newspaper, featured in the tv documentary, 'Any Given Sunday', directed by Simon Gibney. The two-part documentary screened by RTE follows the highs, lows and perils of launching a brand new newspaper in Ireland. Part one of 'Any Given Sunday' was broadcast on RTE-1, 10.10pm, Tuesday 29th April 2003. Part two was screened the following Tuesday.

From An Evil Cradling (1999) has been screened at all of the major national film festivals and many International film festivals including Annecy 2000 and The World Expo 2000 in Hannover (Irish Film Night).

'From An Evil Cradling' in theatrical release fronts MGM Feature Film

From An Evil Cradling (Kavaleer Productions in association with Rocket Animation/Distributed by London-based Optimum Releasing) was released in UK cinemas (UGC Haymarket London, UGC Brighton and UGC Edinburgh since Friday November 24th November 2000) in front of MGM's Flawless directed by Joel Schumacher and starring Robert De Niro.
