THE NEW FRONTIER In July 1960, after winning the Democratic Nomination for the Presidential election, John Fitzgerald Kennedy spoke at the ceremony of acceptance in the Los Angeles Coliseum. He faced west towards a setting sun and addressed 80,000 democrats and thirty-five million Americans watching him on television. Behind him stretched America... 'The New Frontier' is a celebration of President John F Kennedy's dreams and ideals which he set down in one of his most powerful and memorable speeches and one which is as relevant today as it was at the dawn of the remarkable 1960's. 2003 marked the fortieth anniversary of President John F Kennedy's visits to Berlin in former East Germany (shortly after construction of the Berlin Wall commenced) and Ireland, home of his ancestors. 2003 was also the fortieth anniversary of John F Kennedy's assassination in Dallas, Texas, November 22nd, 1963. ------------------------------------------------------------ Scroll down for information on festival screenings at home and abroad.
